Surreal Incision
Details
This painting captures the precise and delicate nature of general surgery. With surrealistic elements, I depicted surgical tools intertwined with human anatomy to show the art and science combination in surgery. The vibrant reds and cool metallic tones highlight the critical and meticulous process of making incisions. This piece aims to represent the complexity and beauty of surgical skills.
Giclee Printing
Giclee printing is perfect for photographic, illustration, or painting reproductions that require maximum detail and longevity. Fade-free for up to 400 years.
Frame
Frame of the painting: Black Lacquer, 14mm width, 13mm depth. However, you can choose another frame color: Dark Wood, White, Light Wood, Metallic.
Mount
Mount: Snow White - White core, smooth finish, suitable for conservation. You can request a mount in another color.
Our white core, black core, and conservation mounts are available in a wide selection of colors. They won’t discolor over time and are cut to size to fit your print and frame. Mounts help to lead the eye into the image and create added depth to your framed print.
Paper
Paper: Hahnemuhle German Etching. Matt / 310gsm. A heavy-duty paper with a more textured finish than Photorag, a velvety matt surface, and a warm white hue with traits of a traditional artist board — reproduces painterly images, lithographs, and pastels superbly.
Glazing
Glazing: Acrylic. As standard, we supply high-quality (PMMA), ultra-clear, acrylic safety glazing. This is proven to have the same reflective properties and appearance as glass. It filters out 99% of UV light. We use a thicker 3mm acrylic for frames larger than A2 size to give a more robust feel.
Unframed Option
If you do not need a frame, I will send the painting printed on Hahnemuhle German Etching paper. The painting will be rolled and packed in a tube.
